How to place it

  • Make the piece about two thirds the width of the furniture under it.
  • Hang it so the centre sits 145 – 150 cm off the floor.
  • Leave 20 – 25 cm between the furniture and the bottom of the frame.
  • In a set, the gap between frames is 8 cm.

A three-piece set: each panel runs from 40×60 to 70×100. So three 60×90 panels take 196 cm of wall — 180 for the panels and 16 for the two gaps.

A woman in a wide cream hat rides a dark brown horse across a sunlit courtyard, her ivory dress falling in one unbroken sweep over the horse's flank and down past its legs. The wall behind is blocked out in panels of cream and terracotta, and the soft shadow of a tree falls across the left edge. It is the warm half of the pair in this series — terracotta and cream where the other is black and ivory — so it takes a beige or white wall better than a dark one, and the two hang well together. Sizes from 50×70 cm up to 120×180 cm.
