Elegant African Portrait Wall Art

Worked almost entirely in sepia and cream: a figure in a full, softly folded head wrap and a draped cream robe, one hand raised under the chin. A band of gold paint sweeps across the whole width of the panel at eye level and drips down it, so only the lower half of the face stays visible, with fine gold hatching over the cheek beneath. A stack of gold bangles sits on the raised wrist, a small gold hoop at the ear and a fine gold chain at the throat. Tonal sepia with gold as the single point of colour makes it the quieter of our two gold-band portraits, and it suits a neutral room that wants warmth without contrast.
