What each size suits

50 × 70Desk · reading corner · hallway
60 × 90Console · single bed
70 × 100Three-seat sofa · small dining table
80 × 120Large sofa · double bed
100 × 150A reception wall
120 × 180A large empty wall

How to place it

  • Make the piece about two thirds the width of the furniture under it.
  • Hang it so the centre sits 145 – 150 cm off the floor.
  • Leave 20 – 25 cm between the furniture and the bottom of the frame.
  • In a set, the gap between frames is 8 cm.

A three-piece set: each panel runs from 40×60 to 70×100. So three 60×90 panels take 196 cm of wall — 180 for the panels and 16 for the two gaps.

Frame and glass

  • Unframed canvas: stretched on a wooden bar, ready to hang, the lightest option.
  • Framed: solid wood in five colours.
  • Glass: optional — it protects the surface and adds depth, and adds weight.
  • Size not listed? We make it to the size you need.

Two protea botanical canvases in wooden frames above a bed with cream and tan linen

Earthy Botanical Diptych - Set of 2 Large Protea Wall Art Prints | Shadow Gallery

Two panels of protea and banksia painted in thick impasto — cream and white blooms, petals in ochre, rust and burnt orange, olive-sage leaves brushed in behind them, and seed heads stippled all over with small black dots that give the pair their graphic snap. The ground is a scraped tan, dragged so the brush marks stay visible, and the paint stands off the surface enough for the flower heads to catch light along their edges. A pair rather than a trio, which makes it the easier set to place: two frames need about the width of a bed or a console, not a full wall. Sold as a set of two, from 2 frames 40×60 cm up to 2 frames 70×100 cm.

Canvas — Printed in high resolution on durable canvas, stretched over a 3 cm hidden wooden frame. Ready to hang.

With a frame — Solid wood with a wooden backing, in gold, brown, wooden, black or champagne.

Glass — optional — On the sizes that take it: extra protection from dust and touch, with no change to the colours.

Made to order — Printed and framed after you order, in the size and frame you pick. A 30% deposit confirms it, or pay in full online. Custom sizes on request.
