Crowned Lion Canvas Art | Regal Lion Wall Print

A lion’s head painted in loose grey, taupe and gold strokes under a gold crown, its amber eyes level with yours and gold splatter thrown through the mane. Lower down the mane breaks into drips that run to the bottom edge, and the pale scraped grey behind leaves every paint mark visible rather than blended away. This is the lighter of our two crowned lions — grey and gold on a pale ground instead of cream on black — so it belongs in a bright room, on a plain wall that lets the drips read. Sizes run from 50×70 cm up to 120×180 cm.
